Web Design for L & J

L and J. The old place by the graveyard

L and J. The old place by the graveyard

If you are an El Pasoan you probably know about L & J Cafe. The restaurant by the graveyard. It is a must-visit place not just for tourist but for everybody. Great food, great ambience, what else do you need?

It was a pleasure working with them, and coming out with a design that would represent the fact that they are a “classic” in El Paso, and also that they are one of the oldest restaurants in Town.

Let us know what you think about the design, and don’t forget to visit L & J for a great mexican lunch.

New Phidev Web Design

Today, Aug 10th, 2009 we are officially unveiling our new website design. We came up with what we thought a different design for the home page (you can see it at phidevinc.com), and we came up with a standard design for browsers unable to render that page correctly (cough, cough, internet explorer > 6)

At the same time, we are unveiling the Phidev Inc blog, we will be writing about design in general, marketing, and business, and every so often technical things regarding web design.

We would love to hear your comments about it, if it shows correctly in your browser, and suggestions that you may have for it.

Hope you enjoy it.

Ranchers Grill Web Design

Check the new look of the Rancher!

Check the new look of the Rancher!

We had the great experience of working with The Ranchers Grill, and Piñata Publishing to come up with a new web design for The Ranchers Grill Restaurant. They already had a website whose design was about 7 years all, and as you know, a lot of things have changed since then.

So we were able to give them a new look that reflects a more up-to-date image of the Ranchers Grill. Next time you feel like having a steak, and if you are in El Paso, you should go and check them out. They do real good food!

Viba Transportation

Viba Transportation New Website

We recently worked with Viba Transportation. They are a company that provides reliable transportation for senior citizens in the El Paso metro, by this, enhancing their quality of life.

For this design we kept in mind that sometimes senior citizens do not see as well as they would like. So the font size is bigger than usual which gives it a little web 2.0 feeling.

Let us know what you think about the design!

New Web Design for François Modave

Francois New Web Design

Francois New Web Design

Francois Modave is a renowed computer scientist researcher based on Washington State. We had fun while working on his site which mixes is two passions. Computers and Triathlon.

He wanted his web design to be techy, but modern at the same time. He also wanted to be able to modify his site in an easy and simple way so he wouldn’t have to take much of his precious time updating his site so  we set up a web application to just do that. Let’s just hope that he takes care of it.

Oh, and if you are looking for a triathlon coach he is the one!

Homegrown El Paso!

The new home for Homegrown El Paso

As a proud member of Homegrown El Paso we were glad to be able to redesign and develop their site. We added a back-end for member to be able to log in, change their businesses information, personal information, see their invoices, among other things.

We tried to reflect our city of El Paso into the design, and it was one of the main sources of inspiration.

If you own an independent business in El Paso you should check their site and what they do. It is a really good thing what they are trying to do, and their mission. Anyways, let us know what you think about the design.

Marcel Rominger New Web Design

marcel-rominger-web-design

A musician's web design

Marcel Rominger is a talented classical musician of Brazilian and Swedish Origins, based in upstate New York.

Marcel used to take care of his website himself, until he realized that he needed the help of a professional web designer and he got too busy. He’s played in very recognized places such as Carnegie Hall in NY. He is currently with very positive reviews that he can add to the site himself. He also can add news to his website without problems.

For the web design we tried to transmit the elegance of classical music, and it seems like it worked pretty well.

Take a few minutes, go to his website and listen to some of his recordings. It is worth it.
